Meet Abdulai
From Susan's Bay to the global stage
Abdulai Kamara was born in Susan's Bay, a community in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where his parents were petty traders selling on street corners. He was later adopted and grew up in a children's home. He earned two master's degrees, then spent ten years unemployed, carrying his CV from interview to rejection.
Those years pushed him toward a bigger question than where he'd get hired. The answer was something he'd done since childhood: lifting people up with his words. Watching Les Brown on YouTube finally gave it a name. Today he's a motivational speaker and life coach in the Hungry to Speak family, mentored by Les Brown himself.
